D'awww. Both mom and I had huge heads, too, as babies, so you may be getting it from our entire side of the family. Have you guys written up a birth plan yet? Are you considering water birth or something similar? Basically anything but on-the-back can help reduce tearing, because it allows your pelvis to spread more.
Noah had a big head too, just not as big as Rhianna's. Let's just say I had lots of stitches and you can ask him for the whole story or call me. Anyhow what did you expect? With your combined brain power the poor little guy will need a neck brace just to hold his head up!
Charlie, Emmy, and I all had enormous heads too, so I guess poor Jim has it coming from both sides.
As far as birth plans go, I've got a few things in my head that I know I do/don't want, but I haven't written anything yet. The hospital has tubs that you can labor in if you want, so I may do that, and I know I'll be declining the IV and constant monitoring so I can move around if I want.
Yeah. Don't you listen to those people that say you can't grow a baby that won't come out that way. Oliver's giant noggin (which he is growing into, btw), was stuck for four weeks at a weird angle in my pelvis. Poor kid. C-section ftw! And my girly bits are great, thankyouverymuch. Heh.
Ouch, are you opting for a C section or a vaginal birth? Either way I heard they have their own different pros and cons. Glad to hear all is well with the fam and little Jim on the way. We miss you lots, especially with the gaming group. Right now Justin is frustrated hand having a hard time getting a few consistent non-whiny players for our Sunday game. That's life I guess, Jasper the black kitty of the under-bed says hi. Drop me a line, you know me sewing insanity as usual.
Vaginal, unless there are serious issues. Won't be guilt-ridden if has to be a c/s, though.
I'm having gaming issues too. Right now we're playing All Flesh with a couple Navy buddies of Noah's, but it's not really a serious game. We're trying out a new Pathfinder group on Saturday - hopefully it goes well...
I'm actually playing in a pathfinder game at the moment DMed by one of my former players. And if you can believe it, I'm playing a chauvinist fighter. lol
