Eight week update.

We had the first ultrasound on May 24th. No-no measured right on schedule at 6w6d, the heartbeat was around 133, and everything seemed to be in working order. Nothing super exciting, but it's still nice to be told 'all systems go.' Observe:

Near as I can tell, we're having a potato.

How far along? 8 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 1.5 pounds down. Damn morning sickness.
Maternity clothes? No, but I'm going to switch over soon. Yeah, it's early, but I miss their stretchy accepting embrace.
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Sleep: Insufficient. I didn't realize last time how lucky I was to be able to sleep and nap for as long as I wanted. Freakin' toddlers, man.
Best moment this week: Eating ice cream with Jim. MMMM! GOOD!
Movement: None thus far.
Food cravings: Anything juicy, like grapes or fresh pineapple.
Gender: Kinda hoping for a boy, kinda expecting a girl.
Labor Signs: Nej.
Belly Button in or out? In, and it's gonna stay that way for a loooong time.
What I miss: Not vomiting.
What I am looking forward to: Not vomiting.
Weekly Wisdom: Go ahead and vomit. It helps.
Milestones: I was concerned for the first couple weeks because I didn't feel pregnant. No nausea, no fatigue, no nothing. Well, let me tell you now: AHAHAHA. We've got symptoms, folks. Allllll the symptoms. Ridiculous fatigue, all-day morning sickness, food aversions, cravings, sore boobs (guess who's getting weaned pronto), and insane mood swings. Have pity on poor Noah. We were a zillion miles apart during the first trimester last time, so he didn't know what to expect. This time, the poor guy is putting up with me crying constantly. A couple days ago I cried because he offered to make dinner when I just wanted frozen pizza. Yesterday I cried for twenty minutes for absolutely no reason that I could think of. Worst hormonal crazies I've ever had in my life.

Breakfast and lunch every day for the last week. Jim's pretty happy about it.
